About Teena Dickerson

   Teena Dickerson is a metal artist, educator, and creative community builder living in Central Alberta.Teena is dedicated to creativity and sharing the creative process in a meaningful way and has recently won Red Deer Mayor's Recognition Award for the arts based community service volunteer work. 

   Teena graduated from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in 1995 and created jewelry and sculpture along the banks of the picturesque Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick until 2013. In 2013, Teena completed a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree at the University of New Brunswick and then a Master of Education at the University of Calgary studying creativity and self realization. While completing graduate work, Teena opened a studio in the softly rolling hills of Delburne, Alberta. 

    Teena specializes in carving and the lost wax casting techniques working in silver, gold, bronze, stone, and bone. As an academic, her field of studies includes creativity in educational practices and self realization and sustainability for artists.
